Note: I am not a Trump supporter, I am just open to this kind of topic.
If you hadn't noticed yet, Donald Trump is now the president of the United States. His presidency has caused a lot of fear to arise, as explained in my previous blog post. Other than fear concerning Mr. Donald Trump himself, many are scared of and dislike his supporters, believing that they are racist and misogynists because if you support Trump as a president, then surely you support all of his morals too.
hereAs seen , everyone in the public and media assumes that all people who support Donald Trump are racists. It doesn't matter if you like what he wants to do with the nation politics wise, any Trump supporter apparently wants a fascist to rule America. These anti-Trump people will tweet out and post on facebook that if you're a Trump supporter, they want you to unfriend them on social media immediately. They guilt you into thinking you're a bad person, just because you have different opinions from them, and call you selfish and obnoxious and say that you don't care about others. But really, who are the ones that don't care about others?
Very recently, the actions of anti-Trump protesters have been aired on the news and been put on full blast all over social media. What these anti-Trump protesters decided would be a fantastic thing to do to voice their opinions is that they should block entire freeways at night to get attention of the government, as they have to send some form of peacekeeping officer to take care of this blockade of humans. You'd think they would peacefully protest Trump to get a point out, but ironically, that's not the case. These people will lash out and damage cars that attempt to continue driving through them, damaging the car and posting their license plate online, attempting to make them look like a bad person.
So why is this ironic you might ask? Anti-Trump protesters seem to have a holier-than-thou mindset, as long as they're protesting against Trump, it makes them a good person and they can do anything they want to "protest" his presidency. But didn't these same protesters call Trump supporters selfish, obnoxious people who don't care for others? Now what are these protesters doing? They're blocking the freeway at night. After a long day of working, exhausted people are driving home, expecting to be able to have a meal, shower and sleep, but of course, these protesters decide to ruin everyone's day. These people coming home from work are forced to wait hours in traffic, slowly becoming more exhausted by the minute. Because these anti-Trump supports have a holier-than-thou mindset, they obviously don't care about the people at all, the only thing they care about is getting their message out to the government. So tell me, who are the "selfish, obnoxious people who don't care about others" in this situation? If anti-Trump protesters cared so much about the country and for others in it, why didn't they start the riots BEFORE Trump became president?
Progress: Again, within this post, I write about my opinion and argument, while using logos and pathos to shut down the arguments of others. Through this post, I am able to strengthen my writing style and work on being able to support my own argument by providing proof and elaborating. In this blog post, I explain how these anti-Trump supporters aren't as great as everyone makes them out to be.
Reflection: I was decently pleased with this blog post. I was happy with my arguments and the direction I took them in. To me, this was a decent blog post and I hope and can mirror the quality of this blog post in my following ones. The amount of information I have to work with could affect the quality of my posts, but hopefully I can work towards supporting my own argument even when I'm not given that much to work with.
