13:The New Generation of Liberals

Recently after Donald Trump had become our new president, a massive amount of people had turned to being liberals. Many of these liberals of course, were just joining the bandwagon. "I have no idea why everyone else hates Trump but I guess I'll join in too and protest everything and anything that conflicts with my beliefs" was basically the thought process for many in this new generation of Liberals.

First of all, let's discuss the tolerance of the new generation of Liberals. Liberals claim to be accepting of all, they love all cultures and they love all races, of course, unless you're a white male, because according to the new generation, all white males are privileged and live easy lives. As seen in the picture I have presented above, liberals tell anyone who isn't accepting of all cultures and races to be more "open minded". They claim to be open minded, but the moment you disagree with them in any way or fashion, you will attacked and insulted, and be told about how your opinion is "invalid". If that isn't enough, this new generation loves to talk about how important free speech is, but the moment they get offended, your opinion will be considered a "microagression", which apparently gives them enough reason to react as they please VIA yelling, insults, or physical actions towards you. In some instances, these Liberals will even call the cops due to the fact that their feelings got hurt, or they got offended. Furthermore, they love discussing the non-existent "white privilege" and believe that if you're a white male, you're not allowed to discuss white privilege(has mature language).

As I have stated before, they love to emphasize how important free speech is, but instead of just verbally abusing those who disagree with them, they have actually stopped guest speakers at colleges from even being able to get to the event. Please note that in all of the links above, colleges INVITED these GUEST speakers to come to the college to present a speech, but liberals protested against them, taking away the speaker's first amendment rights and claiming that the protest was their own example of the first amendment. Something that has unfortunately bloomed from these guest talkers, are safe spaces. College liberals are so sensitive that whenever there is a guest speaker that says a single thing they don't agree with, they need a safe, sectioned off place without the school where they can relax and "recuperate"(note, listening to these speakers is OPTIONAL, no one is forced to go to them).

The reason why I think this new generation of intolerant Liberals exist is due to the fact that they think they have the best morals, and the morals of everyone who disagrees with them are automatically toxic to society.

Progress: By far, this is definitely the most biased and one sided blog post I have written. I believe that to truly be able to have my own voice as well as opinion, I need to think and speak this way more. Always being neutral and being afraid to offend others is always how I am so I'm glad I was able to step out of my comfort zone.

Reflection: As stated before, this is something that is out of my comfort zone, so this is in the right direction for me to go. Although my goals were to make a voice for myself as well as see both sides of a particular situation, this post only focused on making a voice for myself. I feel as if I had a lot more to say regarding this topic but I just didn't know how to put it into words, which is midly disappointing.
